Rumala
Sahib Guru
Granth Sahib ji Should be covered as adequate "RUMALA SAHIB" taking into consideration,
the surrounding Humidity and Temperature. Rumala Sahib should be appropriate to
the season in the summer or in the winter. Thin Rumala Sahib should be placed
over Guru Granth Sahib ji Like Silk, Cotton , or light weight material and in
the winter / cold weather, warm Rumala Sahib Like Velvet , heavy Zari material
or a thick blanket. |

Sahib A
Chandoa Sahib of suitable material like silk embroidered, velvet embroidered or
flowered zari material should always be placed over the Guru Granth Sahib ji just
below the ceiling. If the Guru Sahib's Parkash is in the Palki, then there should
be a small Chandoa Sahib in the Palki and in turn a large Chandoa Sahib is to
be hung just below the ceiling over the Palki. |
| | Nishan
Sahib The
Nishan Sahib is the Sikh holy flag made of cotton or silk and generally triangular
in shape, with a tassel at its end. The word Nishan Sahib means symbol and the
flag is hosted on a tall flag pole outside all Gurudwara Sahibs in India and Abroad.
The flag pole itself covered with fabric ends with a two edged (Dagger) Khanda
on the Top. |
